Combined Trainings

Frequently Asked Questions

General

Q: Who is the provider of CLE trainings offered for purchase through NAVRA?

A: NAVRA is a project of the National Crime Victim Law Institute (NCVLI), and NCVLI is the provider of all CLE programs offered for purchase through this site. For more than a decade, NCVLI has been a leading provider of in-person and technology-assisted trainings on Crime Victim Law, including victims’ rights enforcement in criminal cases and other topics of interest to criminal and civil practitioners throughout the country. All CLE programs are taught by NCVLI staff and outside experts.

Q: Do I have to be a NAVRA member to register for a Live CLE Training?

A: No. At this time, you do not have to be a NAVRA member to register for a live CLE training. Registration for Live CLE Trainings is handled through a third-party vendor Eventbrite, and payment is made through a third-party vendor, PayPal. Once payment has been verified, you will have access to the live training on the date and time it is advertised. Join NAVRA as Enhanced Member and receive a 33% discount on all online trainings offered through NAVRA. Read more about membership benefits here.

Q: Do I have to be a NAVRA member to view an On-Demand CLE Training?

A: No, but membership allows us to keep a purchased CLE program in your account for convenient viewing over a 90-day period from the date of purchase and to display your training history on your profile page for your reference. Basic Membership is free. Enhanced Membership offers a 33% discount on all trainings available through NAVRA. Read about membership benefits here.

Q: I am an Enhanced Member. How do I receive my 33% discount for an On-Demand CLE Training?

A: The discount will be automatically applied to Enhanced Member On-Demand CLE purchases.

CLE Credits

Q: In which jurisdictions are the trainings approved for mandatory CLE credits for attorneys?

A: The description for each training program will indicate the state(s) in which the program has received accreditation or in which an application for accreditation has been submitted and approval is pending. NCVLI is an approved Multiple Activity Provider for the State Bar of California (https://members.calbar.ca.gov/search/cert_detail.aspx?PID=16321&SpecCode=); as such, NCVLI's programs are eligible for credit in California without submitting separate applications for each program. NCVLI's provider number is 16321, and the Multiple Activity Provider status is approved through June 30, 2021.

Q: If I watch a recorded training in which CLE accreditation for my state is pending, how will I know when accreditation has been secured?

A: We will notify you of any updates through the email address you provide on your registration form. We will also timely update the program description for each training program that remains available for purchase through this site.

Q: If I am licensed in a state for which CLE accreditation has not been sought, may I still receive CLE credit?

A: Most states allow attorneys to obtain CLE credit for programs that have received CLE accreditation in another state. Each jurisdiction has its own rules; it is your responsibility to review your state’s CLE rules to determine if you may receive credit for any particular training.

Q. How do I obtain my certificate of attendance?

A. If you participate in a live training, a certificate of attendance typically will be emailed to you afterwards. If you view an On-Demand training, you will need to send us the verification codes that appear on the screen during the program. After you complete the program, send the verification codes to NAVRA along with your request for a certificate of attendance. Many states' accreditation rules require providers to use codes or similar tools to verify an attorney's participation in an On-Demand CLE activity before a certificate of attendance can be issued. (see form vs. email question below)

Q. How do I obtain the materials for the training?

A. For Live CLE Trainings, presentation materials will be provided to all registered attendees via email or link. For On-Demand CLE Trainings, a link to download the presentation materials will appear on the purchased training page.

Troubleshooting & Refunds

Q: Who do I contact if I’m experiencing technical difficulties with my online CLE purchase?

A: During live trainings, you may reach us through the Zoom chat box. Please contact us (navra@lclark.edu) if you are unable to connect to the platform for a live training.

If you are experiencing technical difficulties while attempting to view an On-Demand training, please contact us (navra@lclark.edu).

Q. What is your refund policy?

A. As stated in our Terms & Conditions, refunds for paid trainings will be issued only in the following circumstances:

(a) Live Sessions --

Cancellation before the live training: For live trainings, you will receive a refund minus a small administrative fee of $5 if you contact us and cancel at least one hour before the training begins. For in-person trainings, you will receive a full refund minus a small administrative fee of $10 if you contact us and cancel at least 24 hours before the training begins.

Training no-shows: If you were unable to attend a live training for which you registered and paid and failed to notify NAVRA at least one hour before the training began, you will receive a link to the digital recording of the training to view at a later date. A refund will not be offered. If you were unable to attend an in-person training for which you registered and paid and failed to notify NAVRA at least 24 hours before the training began, a refund will not be offered. If a recording of the in-person training becomes available, you will receive access to the recording for 30 days.

(b) Archived/On-Demand Videos and Recordings (non-live content) --

Technical difficulties: If you are unable to access purchased On-Demand content and a technical resolution cannot be found within a reasonable period of time, a refund may be offered after you contact us (navra@lclark.edu). Purchase content will no longer be viewable if a refund is offered. Other refunds may be offered at the sole discretion of NAVRA and may result in the issuance of store credit for future CLE or membership purchases instead of a refund of the initial payment.

If you have any other questions, please contact us (navra@lclark.edu).
