Two New Amicus Briefs Added to the Searchable Database!

Two new briefs filed by NCVLI have been added to the searchable Amicus Briefs database. In Re: Oleson was filed in the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals and addresses a victim’s right to appellate review under the Crime Victims’ Rights Act. The brief contains a detailed analysis of CVRA legislative history regarding Congress’s intent to afford crime victims regular appellate review. State v. Diaz, filed in the Utah Court of Appeals, argues that courts should presumptively grant criminal stalking injunctions to protect victims of crime. With an Enhanced NAVRA Membership, NAVRA Members have access to these and dozens of other amicus briefs on a wide variety of victims’ rights issues through NAVRA’s Searchable Amicus Brief Database.
