Description: Restitution requests can feel like one final task to check off at the end of a case, but for victims of crime, they can mean so much more.  Restitution orders can be a tangible demonstration of justice when the economic losses a victim has sustained are fully documented and charged to an offender.  In this training, Kazi Houston, Legal Director at the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center, will discuss the importance of restitution requests to many victims and survivors, creative approaches to restitution requests, and ideas for how to collaborate with other service providers to help compile documentation for victim-centered restitution requests.
